Today, the preschool children at the sites in New Bedford & Dartmouth will join countless children and adults across the country in reading "Bunny Cakes" by Rosemary Wells to help celebrate literacy and break a world record! Jumpstart's "Read for the Record" in partnership with the Pearson Foundation brings together millions to celebrate literacy and support the effort to promote early childhood education. Jumpstart's mission is to work towards the day that every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. Together we can help close the kindergarten readiness gap!
